TRE® is an innovative series of stretches and gentle movements that help the body release deeply held tension, stress, & trauma.
Developed by David Berceli, PhD, TRE® safely activates a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system.
The exercises are safe and can be modified for almost all body types. TRE® has been successfully taught to thousands of people in 35 countries worldwide and is presently being studied by the Veterans Administration.
After doing TRE®, many people report feelings of peace and well-being.
TRE® works to regulate the central nervous system’s stress response. As the body’s ability to self heal activates, tension is released and a sense of security, connection and purpose return.
Johanna Hattendorf instructs students in a safe, relaxing and comfortable environment to gently stretch the feet, legs and psoas muscles.
Everyone can benefit from TRE®. Stress reduction and management practices such as TRE help lower anxiety, tension and pain (especially in lower back and pelvis).
